A big thank you to HUION for sponsoring our event by donating a Kamvas 13 pen display to one lucky winner. HUION designs and creates innovative digital ink devices and solutions, like pen tablets, pen displays, pen computers, and other related accessories. Founded in 2011, HUION continues to produce “solutions and services that deliver high performance at a reasonable price.”
The Kamvas 13 is a portable drawing tablet that connects to your computer via their 3-in-1 cable or USB-C to USB-C cable. Kamvas 13 can be easily switch between Pen Display or Pen Tablet. It’s designed to support right/left-hand usage and, at 11.8mm wide with a weight of 980 grams, is ultra slim and light, making it easily portable. It supports versions Windows 7 or above, Mac OS 10.12 or above, Linux, and Android. For more about the Kamvas 13’s other amazing features, visit HUION’s Kamvas 13 product page.
A shout out Shirley V. Ting, who suggested we contact HUION and who has loved using HUION’s Kamvas 16 product and had this to say:
I bought the Kamvas Pro 16 in 2021, the stand didn’t last that long but I have a monitor arm to support the tablet for viewing angles. There’s some ‘distortion’ at the edges – which I’ve read is normal in most display tablets. I just re-center where I need to work. I’ve plugged this in my desktop and laptop/tablet. Because I prefer this display pen vs the apple pencil, because it has more ‘give’ – the soft rubber helps. I don’t find myself gripping so hard while working on more digital drawings.

I’m happy with the performance, portability, and display quality. The physical keys works with my quirks of toggling between repetitive tasks. I also like the additional programmable buttons on the pen allowing me to quickly re-size my brushes or as color pickers. I’ve been able to use HUION with a range of digital software and will be looking to upgrade to a bigger screen in the near future, once I get more illustration work.

Cool, thanks for the review! I’ve been wondering about Huions for a while. I’m a year or two from investing into a new computer and drawing screen so always interested to hear thoughts and learn more about them.
I’m really curious about the Huion because I want to know how it compares to Wacoms or Cintiqs. Or whether I should just use an app to connect my iPad to my computer. I need to pick the brains of a panel of artists to see what everyone says. LOL! I’m sooo lost.
I agree, it is nice to hear from fellow creators about this particular product. Huion has been around for awhile, and I do hear great things. Thanks, Shirley, for your honest assessment! And thank you, Huion for sponsoring with such a prize!
Wow! Thanks for such a great offering to the KidLitGN community! I’m sure the lucky winner will be thrilled!
I have an older model Kamvas. I’d love an upgrade with improved functionality. It’s a great tool to use with a desktop computer.
Thank you for this generous donation! What an awesome prize!
Thanks for sharing this! I love learning about products from real users! Good luck to everyone 🙂
Color me intrigued!
It’s always great to hear about other digital artist’s experiences with different brands. This tablet sounds awesome!
Thanks Huion for your generosity! I’ve been using an iPad for digital art but would love to use a Kamvas tablet with my desktop.
What a great opportunity! I had to buy a special connector to connect my current drawing tablet to my computer – it’s time for me to start thinking about an upgrade!
Great review and very intriguing! Appreciate this offer to the KidlitGN community!
Thanks for the review, Shirley, and thanks to HUION for helping creatives get their ideas out of their heads and onto their screens! Tools that seamlessly translate ideas to reality are truly magical!
What a cool and generous prize; thanks for the opportunity! I work almost exclusively on a desktop with a non-display Wacom tablet; I want to upgrade at some point and have had my eye on the Kamvas for a while.
(Also, I have shared this on Bluesky! https://bsky.app/profile/sparklemarkers.bsky.social/post/3l55bczcqw62z)
Used to be that nothing could touch Wacom, but that divide has narrowed over the years. Good to see it!
Ooh! Portable!
Love the review. Currently in the market for a tablet for an upcoming project.
I’ve heard about Huion before and would love the chance to try it out.
So Cool! I’ve never really looked into Huions before, but now I’m really interested in how it compares to other types. I’ve used Wacom and Cintiques, ipads, and other brands, so curious to try this!
I’m using only a small wacom with pen included for years now. I’d love the opportunity to try the Huion! Thanks for offering this prize!
Excited to participate.
I have used a Huion tablet and pen before but it was before I got in to graphics. I gave it to my nephew who is studying in Art school. Wish I still had it.
I would LOVE to win this! Fingers crossed!
I’ve been happy with my other Huion products. It would be great to have a newer one.
