10/4 – 10/6 KIDLITGN PITCH EVENT
KidLitGN is the premier annual pitch event for writers and illustrators of middle grade and younger graphic novels, designed to get their manuscripts in front of agents and editors. The pitch event starts on the first Wednesday of October each year and is open for editors and agents to review and request through Friday of the same week. This is a free event hosted on KidlitGN’s website.
10/10 – 10/24 KCU PITCHFEST SUBMISSION PERIOD
KCU Pitchfest is an annual juried pitch competition packed full of amazing opportunities to get your graphic novel noticed by industry pros. Pitchfest Gallery Showcase registrants can submit their pitches during this window. You can see last year’s pitch gallery here, and last year’s industry jurors here.
11/4 KCU PITCHFEST: INDUSTRY PANEL & WINNERS ANNOUNCEMENT
This year includes a panel on “The State of the Kids and YA Graphic Novels Industry” with distinguished agents and editors, announcement of the Pitchfest competition winners (voted on by agents and editors) and the unveiling of the online Pitchfest Gallery. This is a ticketed event soon to be purchasable from the KCU website.
