Literary Agent Adria Goetz and Author Leisl Adams talk about Leisl’s graphic novel Batter Royale, of which she kindly shares her pitch packet with us:








Leisl Adams is a Director, Storyboard Artist and Illustrator in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She has been involved in film and TV for almost 20 years, working for amazing clients like Warner Bros, Disney Jr., Mattel, Teletoon and CBC.
On the illustration side, she has done work for Abrams Books, Simon and Shuster, Rubicon Publishing and her own online works, On The Edge, and Not My Show. She loves comedy, and helping people through the power of story!

Adria Goetz is a senior literary agent at P.S. Literary representing picture books, middle grade, adult fiction, and graphic novels. She specializes in picture books by author/illustrators. She graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor’s degree in English with a Creative Writing emphasis, as well as the Columbia Publishing Course. She worked at Martin Literary & Media Management before joining the PSLA team. In 2019, she was selected as a Publishers Weekly Star Watch Honoree. Adria has eclectic taste but particularly enjoys projects that are tinged with magic, have so much heart you can practically hear their heartbeat, and have a compelling, commercial hook. She was recently proud to work on BATTER ROYALE by Leisl Adams, THE RUNAWAY’S DIARY which was illustrated by Valeria Wicker, and the upcoming graphic novel THE OTHER SIDE OF TOMORROW which was written by Tina Cho.
